Saved from bumps!
When my daughter was crawling and walking- I used to think that she wouldn't last through the week with how many times she fell. This saved her from bumping her head seriously on the wooden coffee table that we had. Food does get caught up under the plastic and moisture can get trapped if not properly cleaned. I would recommend getting the larger size if you have a table that is near the limits of the bumper specifications. It runs small.

saved her
This has been great. My daughter is now 3 and a half and we have a 4 month old. Even after becoming an accomplished walker, she has stumbled over our feet or the dog and serious injuries have been avoided. I have a scar on my forehead from hitting the corner of the coffee table as a 2 year old. This will stay on our coffee table for another 3 years. I ended up with the smaller size even though our table was within the range of the bigger size. The bigger wasn't snug enough.

Sharp Corner Protection
I ordered this item after seeing a similar one at a friend's house. Since my daughter was just starting to pull herself up on our coffee table I thought we needed the protection for head bumps. Using customer comments as a guide I purchased a small bumper for our 152" rectangular coffee table. It did not fit that shape. I wanted to exchange it for the medium size, but it arrived without a packing slip. By the time I received a copy nearly 25 days later it was to close to the 30 day return deadline and I was to tired from the hassle to exchange it, so I don't know how a size medium would have worked instead. I'm going to the fabric store to buy a leather needle and some sort of fabric to try to expand the bumper. The four stars are due to my liking the product, but feel some sort of dimensions are needed with the online description.
