Customer reviews for 'Fisher-Price Remote-Control Roller Shade'

Don't Waste your Money
This was a horibble product. It doesn't allow you to use the remote feature unless you turn on the button on the unit and it the unit is left on overnight the batteries die. So you would have to turn it on and off each time you get into the car to make it function. Not only that but the motor is so poor that ours quit working shortly after purchase. Fisher price needs to rethink this item. I love there products and toys but this one was an awful experience. Spend your money on the sunshade they make that is a stick on that changes to clear at night. Cheaper and much better!

Great idea... Bad functionality.... Not for minivans!
Great idea... but obviously designed by a person who doesn't haul around little ones!
It should have been included on the descripton of the item that it is only attachable if you have level, up and down windows.
It attaches by clipping on the down window, and then rolling the window up. (So if you have a minivan... a car used mostly by parents with kids... the back windows usually don't roll down.
Hense this item would be useless since it won't attach)
Also, I tried to at least use it on the front window of our Windstar minivan, but it also won't work on windows that have a slope at the corners... the window shade has to hang level or it won't function.
So I have a great shade that is totally useless because my back windows don't roll down, and my front window doesn't hang the shade level.
However, on up and down windows that are level, it works great.
You do have to turn the button light on when you enter the car, but then the remote worked well both up and down.
Don't buy this shade if you have a mini van with stationary back windows.... which is one of the most popular cars for parents.
Only a person without kids would have not noticed these problems on a great product, which renders it unuseable for most of the people who would use it!

Will not go down
I purchased this sunshade because I would often be travelling alone with my newborn and it would be able to be controlled from the front seat. However, once I got it set up and turned the unit on I found that the shade would not come down unless manually pulled down. The shade retracts with no problems though.
I am looking forward to puchasing a shade that adheres to my window
