Sound Machine

This sound machine is great! I bought two at the same time and haven't had any issues. The selection of sounds are perfect and I think this is better than the brookstone sound machine that is so much more expensive. My husband and I have one for our room as well as our two and a half year old. It is definitely worth it if you're looking for some help with your sleep as well as covering noise for naptime!

Works great when it doesn't give out

This is a great product for the money. We purchased this for my daughters room and it does it's job. Her room is medium size and we keep it across the room from where she sleeps. It is loud enough for our purposes. I dont think it would work as well if you had a larger room and had it across the room.
It recently has been acting up though, which is why I gave it three stars. Every now and then it will just stop working (we have it plugged in). We have to jiggle with the cord to get it to go on again and it will stay on. It's just annoying more than anything. AND you cannot beat the price!

It does work for us!

We had problem sleeping due to occasional noises and cars driving by. After having the machine, we have been sleeping much better. It blocks most of the unwanted sound and gives us a sense of peace. Indeed that the recordings are short. However, I would recommend that don't pay too much attention to the records themselves. They serve as a background white noise. Imagine rain, storm, or at seashore instead. My favorite is the rain; waterfalls and ocean are ok. Summer night is not good for us, since we are city folks. Heart beat is scary... maybe is only meant for babies.
