Anytime she was upset or in pain from all the stomach x rays and barium tubes shoved in her throat, and the TONS of heel sticks to draw blood, and when she'd try to eat and then just throw up and be super hungry and crying, the nurses could turn it on, and it would soothe her almost right away. It made me feel SO good to know that the times when I was down the hall sleeping or eating and couldn't be there in the NICU, that the seahorse could provide her comfort and make her feel safe and at home.
