Amazing for excessively dry skin!
During the colder months, my skin gets so dry that it flakes like dandruff and you can see it on the insides of my clothes. That's how bad it gets. I can shower and lotion/oil my skin and an hour later have dry patches all over my arms and legs. Needless to say, that is so unattractive!
I picked this up and threw it into my cart by accident one day thinking I was buying baby oil. I tried it and absolutely loved, loved, loved it. First off, it smells great. Secondly, it doesn't leave your skin feeling like there are a million products on it; it feels clean and smooth, that's it. Thirdly, it's a great price! After I shower, while I'm still wet, I put baby oil on my skin and it is my honest testimony that I don't have to lotion up again until I take another shower. NO OTHER PRODUCT HAS EVER DONE THAT FOR ME! Who would have thought that Johnson & Johnson (of all people) would find the solution for MY dry skin? My skin feels soft and kissable (that's important) all day long. I'm no longer embarrassed about my skin. I can't tell you how liberated I feel. It's been a long time coming. Kudos!

Non-greasy !
The bottle caught my eye on the shelf and since I am an "ingredient checker" I wanted to see the main ingredients. I noticed that mineral oil was one of the last ingredients listed so I became curious and threw it in my cart. I am really glad I did, because I love it. The reason it is not greasy is because it is glycerin based and not mineral oil based. Mineral oil is the typical ingredient most people think of when they see "baby oil" on a product (even though a product may say baby oil it does not mean it contains mineral oil, though most of them do --- you have to look at the ingredients in small print !). I am not against mineral oil, but I do seem to be gravitating toward glycerin based products, because I am finding they are less greasy. If you are one of those people who shys away from a product that says baby oil because you do not like the sticky, messy, residue-like feel of heavy mineral oil products, then this is your answer. I could not find this on JNJ.com's websites, but I did see some other products I am going to check out at the store to see if they are similar to this one (in that they are more glycerin based and not mineral oil based). I also like JnJ's Light Oil Mist with is also glycerin and NOT mineral oil. So I shower with the Baby Oil Body Wash and follow with the JnJ Light Oil Mist. Anyway, hope this helps.

Excellent product
I bought this to try and combat my baby daughter's chronic dry scalp and skin patches. Regular baby oil was fairly effective but messy; her sheets ended up covered in the oil which got stuck in her hair and the bath became dangerously slippery while we were using it. This turned out to be an excellent alternative, and in fact better than regular baby oil. Although it's marketed purely as a body wash I also used it as a shampoo and within a couple of weeks I noticed a marked improvement in her scalp condition. Using regular baby oil, within 24-36 hours of application the dry skin was back as bad as ever but using the bodywash it gradually receded completely. Very impressed, would highly recommend you try this product.
