This handy storage chest and bookshelf will house toys and games and stuffed animals galore, and also provide a nifty bookcase for storing toddler's reading literature. It is sturdy and will provide storage for years. Easy assembly by an adult. It has a back panel in the bookcase to prevent books and other items from falling off the back side of the unit.

Great bookcase/toybox
I love this toybox! We got it as a toybox for our living room. It is made of a sturdy plastic so spills are easy to wipe off. It is well designed in that it is bottom heavy even without toys and isn't easily knocked over. There are no sharp edges and the plastic is hollow so banging into it doesn't cause ouchies. There is a gap between the lid and the toy box so little fingers can get in there and easily lift the lid. The lid rolls easily back into the top and stays in place. Note that the shelf part doesn't have a solid back but it does have a high lip so books can't fall behind the toybox. The box comes as one solid piece, no assembly required.
One thing to note though, we got this a *lot* cheaper by going to Menards. I believe we paid $50 for this toy box with the red lid.

Sturdy enough to withstand 2 year old twins!
This is a great toy box! My boys are climbing everything and they are unable to turn this one over! It has a very wide base and is sturdy enough to hold them when they climb up onto the shelves...and they have!
